It’s been a month since the last RR release, hasn’t it? I think that’s the longest we’ve gone since the time between the first two books! Well, time for a new one, isn’t it? I’m particularly happy with this one. From the cover to the theme (and to the contents themselves,) I think you’re gonna like it!

<\/i>The big day has finally arrived: after traveling across one ocean and spending half her life savings, Aiko is about to marry Reina, the woman she has loved for over twenty years. The dress is perfect, the December day sunny, and Reina actually showed up, but there’s one thing clawing at Aiko’s nerves like a rabid beast – the “tokoiri,” or consummation of their marriage that is to come that night. Although Aiko has spent most of her nights with Reina before, she is convinced it will be different now that they are married. From the nuptials to the late-night banter and everything in between, this “tokoiri” may fray the last of Aiko’s sanity yet!<\/i><\/p>\n

            \u201cI don\u2019t want tonight to be half-assed!\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Unclenching her fists, Reina stood straight up with a perplexed demeanor. \u201cTonight? Half-assed? What are you going on about?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Aiko rubbed her forearms with sweaty palms. \u201cWe have to tokoiri<\/i>, you know.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cTokoiri? <\/i>What are we? Some feudal straight couple?\u201d Reina scratched her head. \u201cHa! I wonder who will come check the sheets tomorrow, eh?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cI\u2019m serious!\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Reina lowered her arm again. \u201cAi-chan\u2026<\/i>we\u2019re not exactly new to fucking each other.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>I know! <\/i>She could kick the door right about now! Twenty years of having sex with Reina\u2026of course she knew! But this was different. <\/i>\u201cI don\u2019t want to lie on the bed and have you rut on me for two minutes before rolling off and snoring!\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cHey! It\u2019s longer than two minutes!\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cAnd I don\u2019t want to sit in a hot tub or take a shower! I want to make love!<\/i>\u201d Tears she did not anticipate came running down her cheeks. She slapped her hands over her face to hide her embarrassment. <\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>After two dry sobs, Reina put both her hands on Aiko\u2019s shoulders and brought her into an embrace. <\/span><\/div>\n

            \u201cI\u2019m serious.\u201d Aiko\u2019s voice was muffled by her spouse\u2019s jacket. \u201cI want tonight to be special. We can\u2019t consummate our marriage on mediocrity.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

            <\/span>Reina rubbed Aiko\u2019s back, fingers dancing between her dress and the bare part of her spine. \u201cIs this like when you wanted to have perfect sex the day we moved in together?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cYes.\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cThat\u2019s a lot of pressure.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cYou\u2019re telling me!\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Reina pulled away and stroked her wife\u2019s wet cheek. \u201cI don\u2019t want you to be unhappy today. But I don\u2019t want you putting that sort of pressure on the both <\/i>of us as well! What if I can\u2019t deliver what you need? What if no matter what I do you feel it wasn\u2019t good enough for our wedding night?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cThat\u2019s impossible. You\u2019re always good enough for me.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cThen what is there to worry about?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Aiko sniffed the last of her impromptu tears and turned away. \u201cI want it to be romantic. I want to feel like we\u2019re making love<\/i>, not having sex for the sake of it.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Hands reappeared on her bare shoulders \u2013 Reina\u2019s palms were as warm as the tears drying on Aiko\u2019s skin. \u201cWith you, Ai-chan, <\/i>it\u2019s never sex for the sake of it. Making love to you is never just another thing to do.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Aiko laid her hand upon Reina\u2019s and relaxed. \u201cDo you promise?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Reina nuzzled her nose into her wife\u2019s ear and exhaled a long, warm breath. Kisses followed along the edge of her face. \u201cFrom the first time we did it, I\u2019ve only looked forward to sex with you.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Aiko could remember that first time: Christmas Day, 1992. We\u2019ll be honeymooning on Christmas. <\/i>That was the day Aiko decided she was ready to lose her virginity, and not to anyone \u2013 to Reina, the woman she was on her fourth date with. How quickly life changed. Just earlier that same month Aiko had known nothing about her own homosexuality. Not until she met Reina, who drew it out of her like the sun brings out the core of a flower. Like one Christmas Day. <\/i>Aiko\u2019s favorite day.<\/span><\/div>\n
           <\/span>\u201cI want to make love,\u201d she said, turning in Reina\u2019s embrace and clinging to her arms. \u201cI want to feel everything I felt that first time we did it, and the second, and every time since then. I want it to be fast, and slow; easy, and hard.\u201d With Reina it was always a little of everything. Sometimes a lot of everything. \u201cJust you and me and our bodies, like it was that first time.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cJya, <\/i>you know what you want, all right.\u201d Reina cupped her hands around her wife\u2019s face and kissed her forehead. \u201cBut what about what I want?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Aiko laughed. I can only guess what <\/i>she wants. <\/i>\u201cWhat do you want, anata?<\/i>\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Reina rubbed her hands along Aiko\u2019s bare arms, testing the strength of her biceps and the dent of her elbow. \u201cI want to make you happy. And I want to feel passion with you as well.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Something tumbled in Aiko\u2019s groin as her spouse\u2019s hands tumbled to her behind. Even now she still can make me blush on my wedding night. <\/i>\u201cDo you want romance?\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>\u201cI want whatever we do.\u201d<\/span><\/div>\n
            <\/span>Their next kiss could have been their last.<\/span><\/div>\n
